Concerned Ecosystem:
The plots are located in the northwest of Val d’Oise (95 department), in the Vexin Regional Natural Park. This area is marked by varied landscapes (such as limestone slopes, marshes, and woodlands), as well as vast and narrow valleys, unfolding into plains and alluvial zones.
Objectives:
- Reforest fallow agricultural plots;
- Ensure ecological continuity of the green and blue network;
- Implement a straightforward sustainable management plan (PEFC certified) for the reforested plot, adding a variety of species and trees with diverse maturity.

- Walnut: 10%

Project Overview:
The park is predominantly agricultural, with wheat, barley, and rapeseed as the main crops. Forests cover only 15% of the landscape, with woodlands of varying sizes. It also has a great diversity of natural habitats, numerous sites of national interest, and a remarkable architectural heritage of castles, churches, and large estates. The project covers former agricultural plots now left fallow, located on the edge of a forest massif in the town of Chars. It thus forms part of the continuous ecological project for this forest, extending a corridor between this massif and the woods of Hôtel-Dieu and Chars.

Local residents involved in the project, those dependent on forest exploitation, and indigenous wildlife.
