Objectives:

Project Overview:
The social, educational, and cultural status of the targeted communities, categorised as “Adivasis,” is quite particular. Treated as outside of the Indian caste system, they are the oldest tribes in the country. Most of them depend on local handicrafts and agricultural labour as their only means of subsistence.They live below the poverty line. Access to education and health facilities is limited, leading to health and social problems, including malnutrition and child labour. The problems regarding the marginalisation of indigenous populations are numerous in this area. Access to training in sustainable agricultural practices and the supply of various fruit species make them feel acknowledged, as well as diversify their diet and agricultural produce.
Beneficiaries:
More than 20 villages in the Tapi district have taken part in the project. Between 5 and 20 trees are given to each family. Since the project’s inception, over 500 families have participated.
